Hello,
Could someone please help me with DWG TrueView, I really need it for work, but it don't want to start.
I have installed DWG TrueView 2017 - English but it not starts. It says "DWG TrueView has stopped working A problem caused the program stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I have tried to run in compatibility mode, Windows 7 or 8 same problem. I have uninstall it, cleaned register and installed again. Same problem.

Hi,
follow these two simple steps.
1. From QAT (Quick Access Toolbar), select Show Menu Bar
2. Tools > Show/Hide Ribbon.
Place the Ribbon as you like.

Welcome to the community...
"and then Error Popup show".. What error message pop ups? There's nothing in your description that would allows us to troubleshoot your issue. Give us full details.
Hello
Its seems you are having issues using DWG True View. I will move this message for you to the correct product forum, they may have some more useful information and provide a better solution.
Please provide them with a screenshot of the error you are receiving.
Have you tried to start without hardware acceleration ?
Just append the switch /nohardware when you start TrueView.
Your call for TrueView should then:
"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2017 - English\dwgviewr.exe" /language "en-US" /nohardware
regards
Markus
Thank you very much for help. I have tried but same story. Do you have any other ideas?
Hello,
I was trying to install DWGTrueView_2017_Enu_64bit_v3 on my system (window7 64 bit, processor i3 3.40Ghz, 4GB ram, 128GB space). I downloaded software and try to install it. But setup stop on attached picture area and says "0 byte required / 33.8 GB available" and install button is disable.
Please help.
Hi, We use Design Review 2013 here for many of our engineers and we're in the process of upgrading everyone to SSD's and refreshing their PC's at the same time. I'd like to configure a silent install for Design Review but we need to include both the JT and DGN importer. Will running the silent install include them by default or are there additional switches or commands that need to be fired?
Thanks
Recently I was asked about optimal method of printing DXF* files (Model Space) without CAD application.
DWG TrueView occured to be "a bit forgetful" regarding user-preferred plot settings.
Most irritating was ignoring system default printer (this issue seems to be fixable by changing value of registry key "DefaultConfig" in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\DWG TrueView\R12\dwgviewr-B001:409\Profiles\<<Unnamed Profile>>\General]).
But I don't see the the rest vital half-dozen plot options (like "Сenter the plot") in registry.
Alternative option is to use Autodesk Design Review (it does remember user plot settings) but this method have another weak point - background export to DWF is executing "as-is". This leads to cut-off if drawing was saved not "zoomed to extends/to all".
I even found the way to open PARTICULAR drawing in DTV zoomed as needed via command line (https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/dwg-trueview/how-to-open-a-file-from-a-commandline-with-specific-zoom-and/td-p/2960072) but I can't invent how to use this for opening ANY drawing.
Some automation I could do by AutoIt (wait for Plot Dialog Window was activated and try to set the desired options) but I don't want to solve it this way (not bulletproof enough).
Any ideas on how to set DWG TrueView to open ANY drawing in "Zoom to Extends" mode?
* All mentioned limitations seems applicable for DWG but I'm mostly interested in DXF now.
I have a 32bit winxp & d/l'ed the 32bit version. But it prompt this error saying my machine isn't.
I haven't done it that way. But I've tried d/l at home & at work.. same result. I'll be back.
